melea Staking Pool

We are a Validation service that is growing every day in stakes, and that is focused on offering a good service where we are present.

Here Validators in PoS networks since 2017 and we are currently validators in Solana, Cosmos, Iris, e-money, Secret network, Kava.

Observing the rapid growth of the Solana network, we have been pioneers in purchasing the latest hardware to get the most out of the network. We tested our new hardware and broke benchmark records.

Since November-December, we are testing the latest hardware, and it is currently out of stock or difficult to buy, but not for our Solana validators, this is our current hardware and with which we broke records.

These two servers, as we mentioned, are owned by melea but are also located in a data center, under the concept of Colo.

With our 2 own equipment and the 2 backup servers in case of an emergency we are covered so that you are never losing stake rewards due to validator downtime.

It’s not just about having good hardware

Solana is a sophisticated and advanced Blockchain network that requires the maximum possible monitoring of all hardware 24 hours a day. We do it this way with the preventive alarm system that has allowed us to maintain a 99% online and prevent failures before they happen or solved quickly on time.

Monitoring

To end this brief presentation, tell you what we have done while we are Validating and what we do:

1.- We have collaborated with the Solana team by providing ideas to improve Solana’s performance on servers. We indicate that we are using Ramdisk to extend the life of the disks and have a better performance at the same time. Solana team implemented this idea for all its validators.

2.- The reason that the skipped rates were so high was recently investigated and why some processors being superior like the AMD 9 5950X that we are testing, gave us worse results than processors of poorer quality. We carried out an exhaustive investigation of more than 4 intense weeks to monitor and test different setups in the speed of the CPUs that we determined that lowering the speed of the processors to a minimum level, solved the incidence of high skipped rate. Solana’s team, having this data, has been able to solve the incident that currently no longer exists.

Here a summary of the tests.

6.- We are part of the Solana Collective. The Solana Collective is always working for the community in every way hand in hand with the Solana team and its Foundation

7.- Decentralization Contributors; When we bought the new hardware, we started a decentralization of our nodes outside of Hetzner, which is the data-center with the largest number of nodes in Solana. The new servers are currently in Spain, helping to decentralize the network and making it more secure.

8.- We are going to publish more things that we are working on that we will not comment on here now, but soon.
